All-round condemnation of attack on Akbaruddin Owaisi

HYDERABAD: Ministers, leaders of different political parties, and others have condemned the attack on MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on Saturday.

They wished speedy recovery of Mr. Owaisi who is undergoing treatment in a private hospital and said to be out of danger. They demanded that the government initiate serious action against those involved in the incident and extend assistance to the family of the deceased constable.

The Opposition parties termed the incident as reflective of the government's failure in maintaining law and order in the State capital where the land mafia was taking firm roots. They appealed to the people to observe restraint.

TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, APCC president D. Srinivas, PR president K. Chiranjeevi, BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy, CPI (M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu, CPI State secretary K. Narayana, Lok Satta president Jayaprakash Narayan, and Telangana Praja Front chairman Gaddar were among those who condemned the incident. Ministers Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, J. Geeta Reddy, Mohd. Ahmedullah, Sake Sailajanath, and P. Shankar Rao said the government would not spare the attackers.
